"If I could give zero stars, I would.

After I canceled my policy, I had to call back four separate times because it was never actually canceled. As a result, I was charged for two additional billing cycles.

I eventually spoke with Emmy and asked to speak with Richard Moore. I was told he doesn’t take phone calls, only emails, but Emmy refused to provide his email address. When I said I would continue calling until I could either speak with him or get his email, she repeatedly responded with, “Have a blessed day,” and hung up. Eventually, she began hanging up before I could even say anything.

I spent over four hours calling approximately 40 times before finally contacting the company’s corporate 800 number to get the issue addressed. After corporate became involved, Richard Moore eventually called me back.

In the end, it took nearly three months to get my policy canceled and backdated correctly. I’m supposedly receiving a refund, but as of now, I still don’t know when—or if—it will arrive.

Overall, this was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. No one should have to spend months and dozens of phone calls just to cancel an insurance policy."

"I spoke with Emmy Sweat today to get help understanding Stacking UM and Non-Stacking UM. The document was hard to understand and she explained it in detail. She gave me clear examples and also made a suggestion based on her experience in the insurance business. It was her suggestion that made the decision for me, and it actually saved me money. I appreciate her expertise and her honesty.
Then I asked her how much more my homeowners and umbrella policies would cost if I moved my auto policies to another carrier that offered a lower rate. She gave me the net increase amount and it was clear that I get substantial discounts because I have all 3 policies with State Farm. I'll still get some auto quotes from other carriers, but I'm doubtful that I can get equivalent coverage that is a better deal overall.
